Important Update: Changes to Before and After-School Club Fees

At Robert Miles Infant School, we are committed to providing high-quality before and after-school care for our children, supporting working families and enriching our children’s school experience.

We want to let you know that, from September 2025, there will be a slight increase to the costs for both our before and after-school clubs. This change is necessary to ensure we can continue to maintain our current standards of staffing, resources and activities, while also meeting rising operational costs.

New Fees from September 2025:

Breakfast Club: £6 per session (previously £5.50)

After-School Club: £10 per session (previously £9.75)

We understand that any increase in costs can be challenging for families and this decision has not been made lightly. We have worked hard to keep the increase as minimal as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office at office@rmischool.co.uk or 01949 837422.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We are excited to announce the launch of the Friends of Robert Miles Infants group - a team of parents, carers, staff and friends, working together to support and improve our school.

What does the group do?

  • Organise fundraising events to provide extra resources and opportunities for our children
  • Help out at school events and activities
  • Share ideas and skills to make Robert Miles Infant School an even better place to learn and grow

How can you help? Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, everyone is welcome! You might like to:

  • Join the Friends of Robert Miles Infants
  • Volunteer for specific events, e.g. supporting with the organisation and running of special events, such as the summer fair.
  • Offer skills or contacts (e.g., design, baking, local businesses)

If you’d like to get involved or find out more, please email the office (office@rmischool.co.uk) or pop in to see them. You can help as little or often as you like. If you have any particular skills or ideas that you think may help, please let us know.

Family Dining sessions will take place on the following dates / times:

Thursday 26th June- Reception at 11.30am / Year 1 at 12.30pm

Thursday 3rd July - Year 2 at 12pm

On this day, we invite 1 adult family member to join each child for a school lunch. Unfortunately, we can only accommodate 1 adult per child due to space.

If you have children in different year groups, and are only able to make one day, please let us know when you book your place and we will ensure you are able to sit with both children at the same time.

For the cost of an adult meal, Aspens, our catering company, charge £3.

The main meal will be sausages and mash. There will be the option to choose vegetarian sausages and mash. It will be the same for both dates given, which will mean a change to the menu advertised on the website.

The option to choose your meal and pay the £3 for the cost of the adult meal (including a dessert) will be available via MCAS (My Child at School). Or, please call into the school office.

The final date for booking a place will be Friday 13th June 2025.

Thank you
